Back and Joints

Shiatsu for backache and joint pain

Can’t move as you would like? Are you constantly feeling pain and stiffness?

Our body subjected to excess or lack of movement responds with more or less severe inflammatory states that communicate the need for a change in our daily routine.

The sedentary lifestyle and the hours spent sitting in front of a monitor do not facilitate blood circulation and the flow of Qi (the energy for Traditional Chinese Medicine), just as the abuse of movement subjects our body to constant stress and trauma.

Shiatsu has been shown to be extremely effective for relative disharmonies arising from the spinal column.

What we commonly call “back pain” can depend on many factors ranging from simple muscle contractures to compression of a nerve root.

It is understood that in the face of serious trauma and pathologies it is mandatory to consult a specialist or a medical authority.

The collaboration between the Shiatsu operator and the doctor allows a faster resolution of symptomatic processes and, in the case of Shiatsu, prevention to prevent relapses.

Shiatsu intervenes by working on relaxation or toning of muscles, tendons and nerves but unlike the Western therapeutic approach, it does not consider the symptom as an end in itself but searches for the cause of the energy imbalance, in fact it is not said that the classic ache back cannot conceal disharmonies present in other organs of our body.

The treatment, therefore, will not be localized exclusively in the area affected by the pain.

The number of treatments required depends on the severity of the symptoms and the body’s response.

The disharmonies of the back treated with Shiatsu:
  • Low back pain
  • Sciatica
  • Cervicalgia
  • Muscle contractures
  • Disc hernias and protrusions
